Happy’s 2018

Starting in 2017, each holiday season, the Chicago Athletic Association hotel and Land and Sea Dept. have collaborated on Happy’s—a holiday installment of the hotel’s “Mini-Bar” series in The Tank on the hotel’s ground floor (formerly the hotel’s pool). 

Following previous pop-up bar collaborations, The Backroom and Cherry Circle Yacht Club, Happy’s was an over-the-top celebration of holiday cheer and everything that comes with it—comfort, joy, and good old times.

Happy’s is an all-out explosion of all things holiday: Strong drinks, warm vibes, Seasonal tunes, and as many twinkling lights as possible — plus a menu of holiday cocktails from beverage director Paul McGee. There will also be nightly programming - look for craft demos, karaoke, live music (including a closing night party with a live performance of Vince Guaraldi’s A Charlie Brown Christmas), and more. 


The bar, designed and operated by Land and Sea Dept., featured a menu of festive cocktails by Land and Sea Dept. beverage director Paul McGee, as well as beer and wine.

Every year, the Chicago Athletic Association hotel and Land and Sea Dept. have collaborated on programming to help guests enjoy Happy’s to the fullest extent of the season — think live holiday tunes from the likes of Ryley Walker and Bill MacKay, a live performance of the score to A Charlie Brown Christmas, holiday karaoke, and more.
